An Australian adventure as epic as it is luxurious, this 18-night trip takes you to some of Australia’s most incredible corners, from exciting cities to paradise islands and remote desert retreats, staying in a hand-picked collection of the country’s finest lodges and hotels. Please note this itinerary is only available May – October.

Start with three nights in sunny Sydney, seeing the city from a private boat as you cruise under the famous bridge and past the Opera House to some of its most exclusive neighbourhoods. You’ll also hike in the nearby Blue Mountains before returning back to the Harbour City on a spectacular helicopter flight.

Then it’s to the geographical and spiritual heart of the country and two nights at Longitude 131° within sight of sacred Uluru and surrounded by the red Simpson Desert, before two nights exploring the impossibly beautiful Whitsunday Islands.

Return to civilization in Melbourne, where you will be immersed in its uniquely cool culture, before flying out to rugged Tasmania for two nights at the award-winning Saffire Freycinet where you’ll meet the island’s eponymous devils, dine on just caught oysters and take in the sweeping views.

Aboard a private aircraft, fly back north to the mainland for lunch, then back out to Kangaroo Island for two nights at Oceanview Eco Villas, an equally stunning spot with an enviable clifftop perch. Kangaroo Island is a haven for wildlife enthusiasts and it’s here you can spot ‘roos lounging on the beach, seek out bizarre platypus and get close to koala. End at the opposite side of Australia, on the vast North West frontier, at Bamurru Plains, a glamourous safari lodge encircled by bird-rich wetlands and savanna, the perfect place to sit back and absorb the whole experience.

Days 1-4: Sydney

Three nights in Sydney:

The city of Sydney on the east coast of Australia is as idyllic is it appears from its instantly recognisable cityscape. It boasts a rich and intriguing history, famous beaches and iconic landmarks, with a diverse and friendly population, all spread around an elaborate shoreline of Port Jackson’s yacht-filled inlets, bays and rivers.

Pubs, markets, modern restaurants, theatres and galleries old and new add an exciting, sophisticated cultural air, while the fine weather and surrounding natural wonders of New South Wales make it a very outdoorsy place, and a great base from which to explore nearby beaches, mountains and national parks.

Sydney Sails:

This tour is the perfect introduction to Sydney – a full day of touring with your own local guide and private vehicle, capped off by an afternoon cruise to see stunning Sydney Harbour from the water.

You’ll see all the main sights, learn about Sydney’s unique colonial past, and explore the rich aboriginal history. Discover The Rocks, the Opera House precinct, colonial Macquarie Street, and the glamorous Eastern Suburbs. See the views from South Head, and visit iconic Bondi Beach, then enjoy lunch by the Harbour’s edge at a favourite local haunt.

In the afternoon, enjoy a taste of local life as you cruise Sydney Harbour on your skippered yacht, for a 2 hour cruise on the world’s most beautiful harbour.

Private Blue Mountains tour:

After leaving behind the hustle and bustle of the Sydney, stop at a wildlife park to meet some of Australia’s most iconic wildlife, arriving early to beat the crowds. Continue your journey into the Blue Mountains and walk through spectacular scenery. See the famous ‘three sisters’, take a stroll around Katoomba and visit our pick of the best remote lookouts before lunch.

Days 4-6: Uluru and the Outback

Days 7-10: Whitsundays

Three nights at Qualia:

Spend your time exploring this impossibly beautiful corner of Australia from the comfort of Qualia. Take to the sparkling turquoise waters and explore the colourful marine world on a guided snorkelling trip, or cruise along on a catamaran, letting someone else do the hard work or having a go yourself if you're an experience sailor. You can also explore the island on guided or self-guided walks, enjoy a sunset cruise, go parasailing or simply relax with a drink on the white sandy beaches.

Days 10-12: Melbourne

Two nights in Melbourne:

Melbourne sits at the end of Port Phillip Bay, split by the winding Yarra River, with its suburbs reaching out around the shoreline. With handsome Victorian-era architecture, museums, galleries, theatres, green parks, and an innovative art and nightlife scene, this is undoubtedly Australia’s cultural heart. It’s also a city known for a collective obsession with coffee, the aromas of roasting beans fill the air, with hip cafes and delis at every turn, and love of sport, especially Australian rules football, cricket, horse racing and motorsport.

Days 12-14: Tasmania

Two nights at Saffire Freycinet:

Saffire Freycinet’s complimentary range of activities let you engage and connect with Freycinet’s stunning natural wonders and attractions. You can visit the local Freycinet Winery to learn the art of winemaking and indulge in some fine Tasmanian fare, take a trip to Saffire’s open-range Tasmanian devil enclosure to learn about the conservation of this iconic endemic marsupial, head to a working oyster farm to taste some of Tasmania’s best seafood, or hike, canoe, kayak, fish and mountain bike through this incredible landscape. Additional activities include quad biking, boat cruises and bespoke culinary experiences.

Days 14-16: Kangaroo Island

Two nights exploring Kangaroo Island:

Enjoy a complete and personal Kangaroo Island experience with a selection of guided island experience that will allow guests to encounter Kangaroo's abundant wildlife and discover its unique natural attractions, often with exclusive access and always with a touch of luxury. Meet the sea lions at Seal Bay, explore the vast wilderness of Flinders Chase National Park, hike along the coast and enjoy fine dining.

Days 16-19: North West Australia

Three nights at Bamurru Plains:

Enjoy your days exploring the wilds of Bamurru Plains. The wildlife on show is some of the most impressive in Australia, and expert field guides will help you discover it. Watch hundreds of birds take flight from the lake as you fly by on an airboat, or slowly cruise down the Sampan River watching for silver flashes of fish breaking the surface, all sorts of creatures move in the grass, the air is warm and still and all eyes scan the shallows for big saltwater crocodiles. On guided walks and drives search for free roaming horses, buffalo, dingos and wallabies or spend some time up in the tower hide spotting the vibrant bird life of the area.
