Days 1-4: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Meet & greet in Entebbe airport:

You will be met by a Jacada representative on arrival into Entebbe airport and then assisted with check in for your onward flight.

Two full days hiking and tracking to observe Mountain Gorillas in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Parke:

There are a total of 10 habituated gorilla families in Uganda, all located in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park in the south west of the country. Each group receives a maximum of 8 visitors per day. About seven of the ten families reside in Northern Bwindi, and three in southern Bwindi; the ones you will be tracking will depend on the location of your lodgings. The gorillas cover large distances overnight, and they are never constantly in one area. The guides will use their knowledge of the gorillas’ habits and information from the previous day to locate the group’s whereabouts. For this reason, one group cannot be said to be easier to track than another. The time taken to track the gorillas varies enormously, from as little as half an hour to as much as 9 hours before returning to camp.

Days 4-5: Arusha

Overnight in Arusha:

Enjoy a restful overnight stay in your chosen accommodation in or just outside of Arusha.

3
Days 5-7: Ngorongoro Crater

Two days on safari in the Ngorongoro Crater and Conservation Area:

Spend your days exploring all the dramatic scenery and safari scenes of the Ngorongoro Crater and Conservation Area. The largest intact volcanic caldera in the world, this magnificent geography and fertile soils lure huge herds of plains game and predators in what makes for a multi-coloured and thrilling amphitheater of wildlife. The Big Five are all present here and you can spot flamingos on the central soda lake, zebras grazing along the plains, lions lazing in the tall grass and leopards in the trees of the crater rims. Daily game drives are as standard with all the lodges here, but other activities will vary according to which you choose.

Days 7-11: Singita Grumeti

Four days on safari in the private Singita Grumeti game reserve:

Bordering the west of the Serengeti National Park this private concession has all the big game highlights of the park in a more intimate and exclusive wilderness shared between only three lodges. This means your daily game drives here are almost guaranteed to be private and without another vehicle in sight. Horse riding and balloon rides over the bush are further activities available to explore the area.

Days 11-13: Serengeti National Park

Two days on safari in the Serengeti:

Spend your days mostly exploring the northern section of the Serengeti on safari tracking the great array of game and wildlife that this vast area offers. If you're there at the right time for the great migration (depending on the season), this is the region where the herds are at their most concentrated because the North Serengeti forms the border with the Famous Maasai Mara of Kenya, and it’s where (if you’re lucky) you’ll see the infamous river crossings. It’s also an area of untamed natural beauty, of rolling hills, rivers, forests and open plains. We can suggest the best camp for you, based on your preference s and what you’re looking to get out of your experience here.
