Days 1 - 4: Rio de Janeiro
Days in Rio de Janeiro:
With a few days in the 'Marvellous City', you can explore and enjoy Rio de Janeiro at your leisure. As Brazil's second-largest city, it's often mistaken as its capital for the richness of culture found here. Explore the colourful streets, which host the famous annual carnival, enjoy the breathtaking views from atop the Corcovado Mountain, just underneath the shade of Christ the Redeemer, or stroll the famed Copacabana Beach. With manmade sights of significance, such as the stadium of Maracanã and sights of natural beauty like Sugar Loaf Mountain, there's plenty to fill your time and make your stay in Rio de Janeiro one to remember.
Private tour of Rio de Janeiro:
You'll be met at your hotel by your expert, English-speaking Carioca guide and a private vehicle will be waiting to start your city tour of Rio. Your guide will tailor the tour to how you wish, taking into account your pace and preference. Enjoy a tour of the Santa Teresa neighbourhood, often referred to as the Montmartre of Rio, set into the hills close to the centre of town, which still retains a rich cultural atmosphere of art, music and history. Then head over to the historic centre of Rio where your guide will escort you through the narrow 19th-century streets at your required pace, stopping at the magnificent Baroque churches and the ruins of the old port from where most of Brazil’s gold left for its long journey to Europe.
Next, you'll choose between visiting Christ the Redeemer or Sugar Loaf Mountain, Rio’s most famous attractions. At 710 metres above the centre on the Corcovado Hill, the statue of Christ is surrounded by wide, open terraces from where you get unbeatable vistas of the city's impressive littoral, the southern neighbourhoods of Copacabana and Ipanema, the lagoon, the Sugar Loaf and the town of Niterói. Sugar Loaf Mountain is a massive granite rock, which sits 396 metres tall and is one of the city’s most emblematic landmarks, adorning many a postcard.
Samba class:
Samba is the national dance of Brazil, a high-energy Latin dance, known most commonly from the dancers at Rio carnival. Some of Brazil's best samba dancers will teach you some basic samba moves that you'll be able to use later that day.
Days 4 - 6: Iguassu Falls
Two nights by Iguassu Falls:
Enjoy this stunning natural wonder of the world, with a tour of the falls, boat safaris or hikes through the surrounding national park. You can also experience kayaking trips, canopy zip-line adventures, specialist hiking trails and bird watching.
Private tour to Iguassu Falls Argentinean side, including boat trip:
A stunning tour of Iguassu, where you get a chance to really get up close to the falls.
our guide will pick you up from your hotel and bring you by private vehicle to the entrance of the park on the Argentinian side. You'll then be taking the rest of the tour mainly on foot, exploring the various wooden walkways that lead through the national park close up to the many chutes of the falls.
One of the most spectacular sights of the falls is the 'Devil's Throat', which sees the largest flow of water. In order to visit the Devil’s Throat, you must board the train at the Main Station or at the Cataratas Station, close to the Upper Circuit. For those who love trekking, there's the one-kilometre-long Sendero Verde (Green Trail) that connects the Visitors Centre to the Cataratas Station and to the Upper Circuit.
Once you are at the Devil’s Throat Station, you'll have to walk for 1.100 meters on a flat walkway built over the Upper Iguassu River. This walkway crosses several islands and once you get to the end of the walkway, you'll be surprised by a strategic lookout point resting on the side of the gorgeous Devil’s Throat.
Free time on the Brazilian side of the falls:
You'll enjoy some free time to walk along the path to see the spectacular view of Iguassu Falls on the Brazilian side.

Four balconies city tour:
This exclusive tour serves as the perfect introduction to four of the city's most distinctive districts, offering a fascinating insight into its history, contrasts and culture. One of the professors from the university will draw on his extensive knowledge as you experience the highlights of Buenos Aires, including political centres, artist meccas and barrios rich in European architecture. You'll become acquainted with the foundation site of the capital at Plaza de Mayo, undisputedly Buenos Aires' political heart.
Next, you'll delve into one of the oldest districts, Parque Lezama and La Boca in the south, where artists ateliers and brightly coloured houses jostle for space; before moving on to Plaza San Martin and Retiro. Here, you'll notice the transformation of Buenos Aires architecture from the rambling style of the south of the city to the European-influenced residential quarters of the 19th century. Finally, you'll come face to face with the sophisticated neighbourhood of Recoleta, whose buildings and avenues were inspired by the French; it's also home to the world-famous Recoleta Cemetery and Evita Peron's Mausoleum, and you'll get to make a stop here on this tour.
Evening tango lesson and milonga:
You'll visit a group class, shared with locals at a milonga (a tango bar frequented by local dancers) to practice the first steps of this sensual dance forever synonymous with the city. First, you'll head to a local tango club or confiteria (coffee shop) to share a one hour tango class with locals, suitable to different levels and experiences. After that, there will be some free time to have a bite to eat, followed by a milonga, a term for a place or an event where tango is danced, attended by milongueros.
Alejandro Frango - introduction to Argentine cuisine:
Enjoy an introduction to the culinary traditions of Argentina on a tour of the Art Deco Mercado del Progresso, a local market rarely visited by tourists in the charming small Buenos Aires neighbourhood, Caballito. Here, you'll learn about the cuts of meat, wine, fruit, cheese and other daily products and how they are bought and sold. Following the market tour, you'll sit down for a lovely lunch at a small but fantastic restaurant little known to newcomers.
