Travel to Kyoto by bullet train, a city of geishas, temples, and traditional teahouses.
Visit the Golden Pavilion (Kinkaku-ji), Heian Shrine, and browse Japanese
handicrafts. A free day allows you to explore the Gion district, Nishiki Market, or
choose optional experiences like Nara’s Todai-ji Temple, Japanese BBQ, Fushimi
Inari Shrine, or a traditional tea experience in Wazuka Village.

Journey west to Kurashiki’s historic Bikan Quarter, then on to Hiroshima, a city of
resilience, visiting Miyajima Island and Peace Memorial Park. Stop in Himeji to
admire the UNESCO-listed White Heron Castle before concluding in Osaka, Japan’s
vibrant food and entertainment hub, with optional experiences at Umeda Sky
Building, Osaka Castle, or Dotonbori’s dining scene.

Day 1: Arrival in Tokyo
Arrival in Tokyo Konnichiwa and welcome to Tokyo! Japan’s capital is a thrilling mix of tradition and ultra-modern life, where ancient temples sit beside neon-lit streets and futuristic architecture. After arriving, settle into your hotel in the lively Shinjuku area. In the evening, meet your Travel Director and fellow travellers and enjoy your first evening soaking up Tokyo’s atmosphere.

Day 2: Tokyo Sightseeing
Tokyo Sightseeing Enjoy sweeping city views from the Tokyo Metropolitan Observatory, followed by a visit to the serene Meiji Jingu Shrine. Explore Asakusa, stroll Nakamise Street, and visit the historic Sensō-ji Temple. Days 3: Mt. Fuji & Hakone
Mt. Fuji & Hakone Get up close to Japan’s most iconic landmark today. Weather permitting, travel up the Fuji Subaru Line to the 5th Station for unforgettable views from 2,300 metres above sea level. Enjoy free time for lunch with Mt. Fuji towering above you. Later, take the Komagatake Ropeway for stunning views over Lake Ashi, then drive through the scenic mountain town of Hakone before returning to Tokyo for a free evening. Meals: Breakfast

Day 4: Tokyo – Kyoto
Tokyo – Kyoto This morning, board Japan’s world-famous bullet train and travel at incredible speed to the historic city of Kyoto. Once the imperial capital of Japan, Kyoto is renowned for its beautifully preserved temples, shrines, geisha districts and traditional teahouses. Begin your sightseeing with a visit to Kinkaku-ji, the iconic Golden Pavilion, whose shimmering gold-leaf exterior reflects beautifully in the surrounding pond and gardens. Continue to the elegant Heian Shrine, a striking Shinto complex known for its massive torii gate and spacious courtyards. You’ll also visit a traditional handicraft centre, where you can browse finely crafted Japanese souvenirs. After sightseeing, arrive at your hotel and enjoy the evening at leisure. Meals: Breakfast

Day 5: Kyoto Free Day
Kyoto Free Day Enjoy a full day to explore Kyoto at your own pace. Wander through the historic Gion district, shop and snack your way through Nishiki Market, or visit tranquil temples like Ginkaku-ji. Optional experiences today include: A visit to Nara with an ink-making workshop, Todai-ji Temple, and the famous free-roaming deer Exploring Fushimi Inari Shrine and Kiyomizu Temple A visit to a tea farm in Wazuka Village for a traditional matcha experience A Japanese BBQ (Yakiniku) dining experience Meals: Breakfast

Day 6: Kyoto – Kurashiki – Hiroshima
Kyoto – Kurashiki – Hiroshima Depart Kyoto this morning and travel west to the charming town of Kurashiki. Here, enjoy a guided walk through the beautifully preserved Bikan Historical Quarter, famous for its willow-lined canals, white-walled warehouses and traditional merchant houses. Learn about Kurashiki’s importance as a trading hub during Japan’s Edo period while soaking up its timeless atmosphere. Continue your journey to Hiroshima, a city known worldwide as a symbol of peace and resilience. Although forever marked by the events of 6 August 1945, Hiroshima today is a vibrant, modern city that honours its past while looking confidently toward the future. Day 7: Hiroshima & Miyajima
Hiroshima & Miyajima Begin the day with a ferry ride to Miyajima Island, one of Japan’s most scenic locations. Visit the Itsukushima Shrine and see its iconic floating torii gate. Back in Hiroshima, explore the Peace Memorial Park and Memorial Museum, offering a deeply moving insight into the events of August 6, 1945. See the Atomic Bomb Dome, the only structure left standing near the blast site. An optional “Secrets of Hiroshima” experience is available this afternoon. Meals: Breakfast

Day 8: Hiroshima – Himeji
Day 08 – Hiroshima – Himeji After breakfast, depart Hiroshima and travel to the historic city of Himeji. Known throughout Japan for its beautifully preserved castle, Himeji offers a wonderful glimpse into the country’s feudal past. Upon arrival, enjoy some free time to explore the city or have lunch at your own pace. Later in the afternoon, meet your Local Guide for a visit to the magnificent Himeji Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and widely regarded as Japan’s most spectacular castle. Often referred to as the White Heron Castle due to its elegant white exterior, this 400-year-old fortress has survived wars, earthquakes and fires, remaining one of the finest examples of traditional Japanese castle architecture. Wander through its vast grounds and gardens while learning about the castle’s history, defensive design and importance in Japanese culture. After the visit, head to your hotel and enjoy the evening at leisure. Meals: Breakfast

Day 09: Himeji – Osaka
Himeji – Osaka Start your day with an optional visit to a sake brewery, where a Local Guide will introduce you to the traditional art of brewing Japan’s famous rice wine. Learn how high-quality rice, clean water, koji mould, and yeast come together to create this iconic beverage, and gain insight into its cultural significance. Afterward, continue your journey to Osaka, Japan’s vibrant and energetic city known for its food, nightlife, and friendly locals. Spend the afternoon at leisure to explore the city at your own pace. Stroll through the neon-lit streets, visit quirky shops, or simply soak up the lively atmosphere. For those wishing to enhance their experience, optional excursions are available: Umeda Sky Building & Osaka Castle (JPY 6,000) – Admire panoramic city views from the Floating Garden Observatory and explore the historic Osaka Castle, including its impressive samurai artefacts and model castle town. Dinner in Dotonbori (JPY 10,500) – Indulge in a feast of Osaka’s famous street food, including okonomiyaki and teppanyaki, with 70 minutes of unlimited drinks, in the bustling Namba entertainment district.
