Yerevan: A City Older Than Rome
The capital, Yerevan, founded in 782 BC, stands as one of the oldest continuously inhabited
cities in the world. Yet despite its age, it pulses with youthful energy. Pink tuff-stone buildings
glow under the sun, giving the city its nickname—the “Pink City.” Modern cafés, art galleries,
fountains, and wide boulevards blend with Soviet-era architecture and ancient fortresses,
creating a vibrant mix of old and new. From Republic Square to the Cascade Complex, Yerevan
offers a lively cultural scene shaped by music, literature, and a proud artistic heritage.
A Landscape of Drama and Beauty
Armenia’s terrain is wildly diverse. Towering mountain peaks, deep canyons, alpine meadows,
and volcanic plateaus define its geography. Mount Ararat, although across the border, remains

Day 1: Arrival in Yerevan & City Tour (Victory Park, Cascade, North Avenue, Opera House, Republic Square, Blue Mosque)

After check-in, enjoy a delightful lunch at the hotel’s rooftop restaurant, offering beautiful views of Yerevan. Your city exploration begins at Victory Park, a perfect vantage point overlooking the capital. Days 2: Yerevan • Sevanavank • Tsaghkadzor • Yerevan

Following breakfast, drive to the sparkling blue waters of Lake Sevan, lovingly known as the Pearl of Armenia. Visit the ancient Sevanavank Monastery, perched on a peninsula and surrounded by stunning lake views. Continue to the charming ski town of Tsaghkadzor, where you can enjoy the refreshing snowy landscapes. Visit the 11th-century Kecharis Monastery, an important spiritual and educational center of medieval Armenia. Your next stop is the Tsaghkadzor Ropeway, offering breathtaking winter panoramas. Day 3: Yerevan • Khor Virap • Areni Winery • Noravank Monastery • Yerevan

After breakfast, begin your trip through the fertile Ararat Valley. Your first stop is the legendary Khor Virap Monastery, renowned for its stunning close-up view of Mount Ararat, rising serenely above the plains. Continue to the mystical Geghard Monastery, partly carved into the mountainside. Originally called Ayrivank, meaning “Monastery of the Cave, ” it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with exceptional cultural and architectural significance. Your journey continues to the Temple of Garni, the only surviving pagan temple in the former Soviet region, dating back to the 1st century AD. Day 5: Shopping Experience (Vernissage, GUM Market, Gold Suk, Dalma Garden Mall)

After breakfast, drive to the Gegharkunik region. Visit the historic Kecharis Monastery, founded in the 11th century by the Armenian Pahlavuni princes. Continue to Tsaghkadzor, a picturesque mountain resort, where you can ride the ropeway to enjoy sweeping views of the Armenian Highlands. Optional activities include a zip line adventure or a hike to the top of Mount Teghenis. Drive to Lake Sevan, known as the “Pearl of Armenia, ” the largest lake in the Caucasus and one of the world’s largest high-altitude freshwater lakes. After soaking in the stunning views, return to Yerevan for your overnight stay.
