Welcome to India | Explore New Delhi Tour begins at 2:00 PM, Arrive in India’s vibrant capital, where a private transfer brings you from Indira Gandhi International Airport to your luxury hotel, celebrated for its gracious service and central location. As many international flights arrive late at night or early morning, guests may choose to arrive a day early to relax and recover from jet lag; Tauck can arrange an additional night upon request. This afternoon, meet your Tauck Director for a welcome briefing, followed by a guided orientation tour of New Delhi. Enjoy a drive through Vijay Chowk with views of the Secretariat Buildings, Parliament House, the Presidential Palace, and India Gate, a memorial honoring Indian and British soldiers. Visit the Gandhi Smriti Museum, dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi and his philosophy of non-violent resistance that led India to independence. Conclude the day with a welcome cocktail reception.
